Recycling Materials

Recycling Materials and Waste

Coastal Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd are dedicated to recycling as much of the materials and waste that we collect from our clients as possible. People are often pleasantly surprised by the amount of their waste that can be recycled and absolutely over the moon when we tell them that by recycling so much of their waste they are able to save more money. Sending your rubbish and waste straight to landfill is significantly more expensive than recycling as this will be charged at the current Fraser Coast Tip Fee Rate for landfill rubbish. When you hire skip bins from Coastal Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd, we segregate your waste which is what enables us to keep our costs lower than our competitors. If you segregate your waste yourself you can reduce the costs even further – often it is cheaper in the long-run to hire two or three smaller skip bins and use them to segregate different types of waste than to just get one big skip which is used for everything.

What Can and Cannot Be Recycled?

We are able to recycle a lot of different materials. Often, if we cannot recycle the material then we will try to re-purpose it instead, finding a new use for the item. A good example of this is treated timber – it cannot be recycled but we will always try to re-home it rather than send it to landfill. Items that we can recycle include tiles and concrete which are crushed and recycled into trench rubble and road base; green waste and plant materials are turned into mulch; steel gets sent to specialist recycling centres in Brisbane and gyprock or plasterboard gets crushed and put into soils.

While we do our best to recycle as much as we can, there are some items that we cannot, including batteries, paint and asbestos.

Commercial Waste Removal:

We have a strong reputation for assisting commercial businesses to stream-line their waste management system while also saving them money. Our team of expert waste management specialists set up custom systems tailored to the individual waste removal needs of each property – colour-coded bins are used throughout the property to segregate the rubbish, and are placed in logical areas to minimise the amount of time that it takes to transport the waste to the relevant bin while also ensuring that the bins are not in the way of any business operations. We then set up a schedule for the emptying of the bins to ensure that they never overflow or become a hazard.

Manufacturing and Commercial

Commercial Waste Removal Services

Maximising space is important when running a business that turns over large amounts of material, and Coastal Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd provide commercial waste removal services to ensure your operations aren’t being held up by waste. We work with all kinds of clients, from glaziers and cabinet makers to food manufacturers, providing a reliable skip bin service. We recycle as many materials as possible and try as hard as we can to find a purpose for waste materials we collect to not only bring the costs down for our commercial clients, but also reduce their environmental footprint. Get in touch with us to organise quick, reliable skip bin hire at a price our competitors simply can’t beat.

Skip bins of various sizes can be placed around different areas of your site for maximum efficiency, minimising time your employees spend going to a central waste area. Our skip bins come in sizes of two, four and six cubic metres to suit different needs. At your request, we can provide different coloured bins to suit the different areas of production and types of waste produced to make waste separation easier. Delivery can be arranged at regular intervals or at your request to avoid build-ups of waste that slow down production. Unlike other skip hire companies, we collect at a time that suits you, not us.

Recycling Saves Money and The Environment:

Taking all your waste to the tip unseparated incurs massive tip fees as this will be charged at the current Fraser Coast Tip Fee rate, which can really stack up when you’re producing goods that output lots of waste.

While there are some goods that we inevitably have to take to the tip, we make a concerted effort to recycle as much waste as we can in-house, and separating your waste is a good way to manage your costs and ease the recycling effort. As such, we recommend operating a segregated waste system, which proactively sorts your waste into categories at the start, minimising your costs. Depending on what kind of materials you are binning, waste segregation can drastically reduce your overheads; please give us a call to see how much a smart waste solution could save your business.

Skip Bins for Builders

Commercial Skip Bin Hire for Builders and Construction Sites

Coastal Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd are a commercial skip bin hire company dedicated to producing low-cost, environmentally friendly, waste management solutions to local Hervey Bay building and construction companies. We consider ourselves to be more than just a skip bin hire company; we are waste solution experts, dedicated to minimising unnecessary waste, whilst reducing costs for fellow Australian businesses and consumers. Also offered are business accounts to help you get through your project without any financial hiccups.

We try to recycle as many materials as possible, minimising your council fees from the tip, whilst also reducing your carbon footprint. Please give us a call to arrange skip bin hire on your site, we can normally provide same or next day delivery!

Segregated Skip Bin Systems:

When you’ve only got one bin on site, be it a big skip or a cage, you run into a multitude of problems. The first being that you’ll have workers from different points of the site walking to the one bin, wasting time and money. You’ll then run into problems when it comes time to bring your waste to the tip; having to pay exorbitant council fees because your waste is mixed and requires sorting through. Sometimes when building structures that sit right on the border, you’ll also find that waste cages are also impossible to place properly.

Most builders we spoke to don’t even realise this is a problem and that there’s other alternatives to the traditional cage and single skip bin waste solution. We’ve created a simple, proactive solution that minimises costs whilst maximises the resourcefulness of your employees. Instead of using larger skip bins, we use smaller skip bins for each of the individual material types we recycle, with one for each of the following:

  • General Waste
  • Tiles, Concrete, Brick and Steel
  • Gyprock and Plaster Board

The bins will be colour-coded so your workers can easily differentiate where to put their waste. We take care of all your waste and we can generally get to your site on the same day you call us to empty any skip bins you’ve hired from us.

Many of our customers don’t realise the savings that are possible from incorporating a segregated bin system on your building site. When you bring in mixed wastage to Fraser Coast council tips, you will pay the current Fraser Coast Tip Fee Rate. When you hire multiple skip bins with us, you’ll negate the costs of council tip fees for your recyclable goods, because we recycle in-house, and all our skip bin hire includes transport costs. So, if you instead hired a few small bins to segregate your waste, we could potentially bring your tip fees down to $0, provided it’s all recyclable.

We’ll still happily hire out single bins for combined wastage to our customers, but we highly recommend that you at least give segregated usage a try to see how much it can save you.

Commercial Waste Management Solutions to Suit Your Needs:

Whether you’re building a tower or a townhouse, we can create waste removal solutions to suit your needs including providing you with skip bins that have drop-down doors, or putting skip bins on each level of a multi-storey complex you’re building. We believe that by providing proactive waste solutions to our customers, we can not only reduce costs for our clients, but also prevent the careless wastage of useful materials that otherwise end up in landfill.

Green Waste Skip Bins

Green Waste Skip Bin Hire

Coastal Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd provides cost-efficient green waste skip bin hire to local Hervey Bay residents looking for a simple way to get rid of excess garden trimmings and waste. We’re a team of waste management specialists committed to recycling and minimising our toll on the environment, while providing a cheaper alternative for our customers. Give us a call for environmentally-friendly green waste bin hire that’ll leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside, without a shot to the hip pocket.

We believe being environmentally friendly doesn’t have to be costly; in fact, recycling with us is cheaper; provided you use our waste bins for green waste only, our skip hire is offered at a reduced rate because we can recycle all of it. We recycle in-house not only at a cheaper cost than the council tip charges, but also more efficiently.

What is ‘Green Waste’?

While we encourage you to put anything that grows in your garden in to our green waste skips, we do request that you please don’t put any other associated garden products that don’t grow in your garden (such as glass, rocks, broken paver/brick pieces), as these require us to sort through the waste, increasing the hire cost. You can put in trees, and even fronds in our skips, but please do not put treated wood (commonly used for garden sleepers) in to the skips, as it cannot be recycled.

If you do require other goods to be recycled, please give us a call to see what your options are. It’s cheaper to hire two small skips for two different purposes than to have to either sort through or send a large skip to the tip as mixed general waste, as this will be charged at the current Fraser Coast Tip Fee Rate for mixed general waste (which will unfortunately all go into landfill).

Residential Skip Bin

Hire a Skip Bin in Hervey Bay

Hire a skip bin in Hervey Bay with Coastal Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd, a professional waste management and removal company with a strong focus on recycling and environmentalism. The needs of our residential customers can be quite diverse, and we take the time to listen carefully to your needs when you speak to us on the phone in order to provide the best sized and most economical skip bin for you. Whether you’re finally getting around to clearing out the shed, or you need to clean up after some home DIY, we’ve got you covered. Please give us a call to arrange affordable skip bin hire, delivered at a time to suit you.

The beauty of our operations is that we don’t just provide skip bins for hire; we’re committed to the entire cycle of waste management. This means sorting through and recycling waste whenever possible to not only minimise tip fees incurred by the customer, but to do our bit for the environment by recycling more efficiently than the local council can.

We offer three sizes of skip bin to suit any job, big or small:

  • 2 cubic metres
  • 4 cubic metres
  • 6 cubic metres

See comparison chart

One cubic metre is the equivalent to four council-sized wheelie bins or one standard trailer load, so the four cubic metre bin would be the equivalent of 16 wheelie bins, or four trips to the tip with a trailer.

Fast delivery

We pride ourselves on fast delivery and pickup, because nobody wants their job to be put on hold, nor do they want an ugly skip bin sitting out the front of their house any longer than necessary! Our standard term of hire is seven days, but we differ from other skip hire companies in that we’re a bit more flexible. We realise that sometimes things come up that are out of your control, so if you think you’re going to need a couple more days to get that clean-up job done, simply give us a day’s notice and we’ll let you hold on to your skip for a little longer.

What can go in the skip bin?

  • General waste
  • Household rubbish
  • Green waste
  • Solid Waste

What not to put in the skip bin?

  • No Asbestos
  • Liquid waste [ ie- Paint , Petrol , Oil , Chemicals ]
  • Tyres
  • Batteries
  • Gas Bottles
  • Hazardous
  • Tree Stumps
  • Food waste

Segregated Skip Bin Hire:

If you’re hiring our skips for more than one purpose, for example, clearing out the shed and fixing up the garden, why not hire two small skips, rather than one large one? We can provide different skips for different waste types, including green waste skips at discounted rates.

It may seem counter-intuitive, but you can save on tip fees by segregating your wastage. Because of the high rates that Fraser Coast Council applies to mixed general waste which will be charged at the current Fraser Coast Tip Fee Rate, we recommend segregating your waste when dealing with diverse types of waste, as we recycle in-house and can reduce your costs significantly.
